Project background
The Swiss and Euro-Atlantic Security Team of the Think Tank at CSS analyzes issues in Swiss foreign and security policy, as well as developments in the Euro-Atlantic security environment and in Europe’s southern and eastern neighborhoods, European internal security, preventing violent extremism, and the nexus between security and development.
Job description
You will analyse developments, as well as organise and lead workshops on arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament in a new environment affected by geopolitical developments and emerging technologies. You will also publish in policy relevant and other publications, and transfer your knowledge in dialogue with policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
Your profile
You have excellent knowledge of arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament, and are highly motivated to contribute to reconceptualising arms control. You have an M.A. or a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related discipline. You possess excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills.
The CSS is a multi-lingual working environment, so proficiency in English alongside at least one Swiss national language is required. Work experience in international organizations or think tanks would be an advantage, as is knowledge of the Swiss political landscape.
