CTBTO Youth Group Member and Education Coordinator, Magdalene Wangui Wanyaga (Kenya) addressed the United Nations Security Council and highlighted the important role of youth in advancing the Entry into Force of the CTBT:
"Younger generations are the best advocates for international disarmament and non-proliferation...I, therefore, urge the organisations and entities at the national, regional, and global levels to provide the power and tools to the youth to promote and advocate for these noble values because our voice is worth hearing"
